Department of Education, Government of Bihar published merit list of 34540 teachers on the basis of decision of Supreme Court. The decision was left ignored from 2006. Now, the decision has been taken for the appointment to the post of Teachers on the basis of seniority and roster.

There are total 34540 positions vacant for trained teachers. There are 17,270 positions vacant for General category, 345 for ST, 5,526 for SC, 6,217 for Backward class-1, 4,145 for Backward Class -2 and 1,037 for women from Backward Classes under this recruitment.

The candidates who complete 60 years by January 31, 2012 will not be recruited. There will be a counselling for Bihar Trained Teacher recruitment 2012 for those who have passed Primary Teacher Training before 2006.
