Star New celebrates grand finale of Star Anchor Hunt on 26th June, 2010. Today, the channel declares winner of Star Anchor Hunt - Akshay Shukla and Meenakshi Kandwal. The Show is introduced by Roob as a host. Star News had started the Show to search India’s most promising news talent.
Star Anchor Hunt on Star News started from 7th June, 2010. Thousands of aspiring contestants had participated in the Show. The Show had arranged auditions in 10 cities of the country.
Star Anchor Hunt chooses top 20 contestants from the audition round. The top 20 contestants had to complete some given task. They got the task of news writing and presentation of news. They became anchor from studio. They presented live reports and they faced judges live. These were the hardest tasks for all the contestants.
Finally, top 6 contestants participate in the Star Anchor Hunt grand finale. Today, the Show gives a glimpse of all 6 participants score card.
Star Anchor Hunt grand finale top 6 contestants are – Akshay Shukla, Pallavi Tayagi, Sahar Ahmed, Vishal Kalra, Gurdeep Singh Maan and Meenakshi Kandwal.

At last, all 6 contestants get a task to present news on the given subject. It was the final round for all of them. They get a chance to meet Lalu Yadav also. Now, all 6 contestants had to ask a question Lalu Yadav.
Finally, judges announced the name of Star Anchor Hunt winner. Akshay Shukla is rewarded as Star Anchor Hunt male winner. On the other hand, Meenakshi Kandwal is rewarded as Star Anchor Hunt female winner.
