After the great popularity of DLF IPL first season in April 2008, now IPL is back again with its 3rd season in India. Second season of IPL was held in South Africa. DLF Indian Premier League is commonly known as IPL or Twenty20.

DLF IPL introduces total eight teams. The teams are formed on the name of the eight Indian regions. DLF Indian Premier League teams name are - Royal Challengers Bangalore, Chennai Super Kings, Deccan Chargers, Delhi Daredevils, Kings XI Punjab, Kolkata Knight Riders, Mumbai Indians and Rajasthan Royals.
IPL 2010 team captains are - A. Kumble from Royal Challengers Bangalore, MS Dhoni from Chennai Super Kings, A. Gilchrist from Deccan Chargers, G. Gambhir from Delhi Daredevils, K. Today, on 12th March, 2010 a grand opening was arranged in the ground of Dr. DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai. In this opening ceremony, many traditional cultural programs were performed. The most popular Bollywood heroine - Dipika Padukone also performed on the opening ceremony of IPL 2010 season 3.
Deccan Chargers Vs Kolkata Knight Riders Match Summary:
First match of IPL Season 3 is played in the ground of Dr. DY Patil Stadium, Mumbai between Deccan Chargers Vs Kolkata Knight Riders. The toss is won by Deccan Chargers and the captain decides for fielding first.
In the first innings, KKR scores total 161 runs on 4 the loss of wickets. Situation of Kolkata Knight Riders was not better because it had lost 2 wickets in first over. But after 4 wickets, KKR’s batting was really very appreciating.
In the second innings, Deccan Chargers team scores total 150 runs on the loss of 7 wickets. In the second innings, fielding of KKR was really very appreciating. Deccan Chargers was not able to score more runs on the bowling of Kolkata Knight Riders.
Finally, team of Kolkata Knight Riders wins the first match of IPL Season 3. In this match, KRK beat Deccan Chargers by 11 runs.

DLF IPL Season 3 has also introduced the same concept to its previous season. This season starts from 12th March, 2010 and final will be played on 25th April, 2010. IPL Season 3 winner will be declared after the final match on 25th April, 2010. IPL is a cricket competition which is inspired from United Kingdom.
